Classic and high quality squishes — slow rise, sweet scent, every bake boxed

Asked over the counter

The questions that come up most at the bakery counter. Anything else? Ring the bell.

Why does my new squishy feel a bit firm?

Foam settles over the first few days of squeezing. Give it gentle presses and keep it at room temperature; it will soften into its proper rise.

It smells very strong. Is that normal?

A fresh squishy carries its full scent. Leave it out of the box in an airy room for a day or two and the smell mellows. Some people prefer it strong and keep it boxed.

My loaf rises faster than the listing says.

Warmth speeds foam up and cold slows it down. Time it in a normal room, pressed fully flat, and take the middle of three tries. Our rise notes explain more.

Is the Gold Mango a Kiibru squishy?

The mango is made by Areedy, a sister label carried on the Kiibru shelf. It sits in our Shortcakes & Mango line beside the cake wedges.

Do the colours differ in scent?

Sometimes. The golden and mint English bread smell of mint while the chocolate bake smells of sweet bread; the shortcakes change scent with each frosting. Each product page lists the scent.

Can I give one as a gift straight from the box?

Yes. The colossal loaves come in a COLOSSAL BREAD window box, and the Petals buns arrive in a clear PVC display box, so they are ready to wrap.

Why is the price different at checkout?

We show the price we saw on the date printed on each page. The partner store sets the live price, and the one at its checkout is the one that applies.

How do I return a squishy?

Returns go through the partner store, from the order in your account there. See when a loaf falls flat for what to check first.

Do you have a shop I can visit?

Our address is a correspondence address, not a shop floor. The whole range is right here on the site, and orders are placed with the partner store.
